    Hi,

    Thank you for your post.

Feel free to use this lens profile Sigma 150-500mm F5-6.3 APO DG OS HSM in Canon's EF mount instead.

    Thank you for the response.

I am indeed making use of the canon profile.

    Seems to work well.

    The question was really about;

if a profile is not available for the Nikon but is available for another camera, Canon in this case, can you not make the software remember it (once I had manually selected it for this particular lens) for all future imports so i don't have to select it manually every time?

So on subsequent imports it says, ah no Nikon profile for this lens but the human used the Canon profile last time so I’ll use that instead.

You could add a box for the user to tick to say use other manufactures profile instead if the correct profile is not available.

Just a way to automate it really…

I have been a bit silly on a few occasions and forgotten to select the Canon profile manually. For this lens;-(

Yes I’m a kluts at times, ask my wife 😉

or could you “as a short-term solution”, make (rename!) the Canon profile to appear as a Nikon profile, with a note that it is only 90% accurate...

    just a thought.

Not the biggest problem in the world I know.

    Hi,

    Thank you for the clarification.

I will forward the lens request for Sigma 150-500mm F5-6.3 APO DG OS HSM in Nikon's mount to the Product Management team.

As for remembering the lens profile option upon subsequent imports of images shot with certain camera models and lenses, this option is not available in Capture One.

As a workaround, just set the needed lens profile in the Lens Correction tool, then select all other images where this particular lens profile should be also applied, then press the Copy and Apply button in the Lens Correction tool and then press Apply.

    Thank you for the reply.

I am indeed using this work around.

It would be nice if it were automatic.

I hope at some point that COP can remember previous non-Nikon choices and applies them automatically or you are able to modify the Canon profile so it can be recognised automatically as a Nikon lens, until (if ever), a 100% Nikon profile is made available.

    Thanks again
