Why can't I edit this JPG?

Why I can't I edit this image? 

It was previously in the Camera RGB color space, but I used sips to convert it to Adobe RGB. This still hasn't enabled editing / changing ratings etc. I have Edit JPEG enabled as is default

  Shortest side is too small. Minimum 512 pixels per the release notes.

  Yeah!  That's the problem. Obviously, it's not typical to have such poor images in C1, but I'm trying to create a master catalogue with many decent images, and the old old sentimental one like this. I've resampled and the resultant jpg can be keyworded etc.

  In that situation annoying but at least it helps to avoid all sort of background downloaded "images" and icons from web sites being selected as valid images as some other applications I have used seem to allow!

  So many swings and roundabouts to consider ...

  I was trying to think of any justification for such arbitrary rules, and then you came up with a great one. I know my use-case is pushing the boundaries!
