Update has me locked out of Capture One Pro Perpetual Licence

    I have solved my problem for the time being. I luckily still had the installer for a previous version of 20 and just installed that again and it worked. There where no previous versions of 20 on the website that I could find.

    Background:

    Some time around the appearance of either V 11.5 or V12 (I forget exactly which) release, the sales process moved from being an internal activity and recording system to an externally managed system.

     

    Thus, in account management for licensing, there are two locations potentially active as you have discovered.

    So as your order information is in the "pre-2018" system you presumably do not have an Activation Key of any sort for Version 20?

    License management has changed once more with V20 and an activation key is required for all C1 types in all situations.

    All activation of V20 will be handled in the new system. So you should, somewhere, have a key provided to you for activation purposes.

    I don't know which information you may need exactly so I would suggest that you search the Community files Search facility searching for "License Management" as a starting point and take things from there.

    I do have a 20 license. It took support sending me a new key. I have not even bothered to install it again. But now I have a key that will unlock the update apparently. 

    We shall see. They did get back to me very quickly this time.

    I am having a similar situation with C1 21. A routine update and now it is asking for my licence key to my perpetual licence. And it doesn't work. I've waited three days without a response and I can't access any of my files.
