    Hi Jonas,

    Thank you for the post.

All the custom keyboard shortcut sets reside in:

    Mac
    - /Users/[your user name]/Library/Application Support/Capture One/KeyboardShortcuts

    Windows

    -C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Local\CaptureOne/KeyboardShortcuts

If you want to back up your custom keyboard shortcut sets or transfer those between computers, copy them from the folder mentioned above and move to the corresponding folder with the same name and in the same location on another computer.

Thanks, I did see the path in another post. This feature request is about doing it from the GUI

Has this changed? I don't see "Keyboard Shortcuts" ... \AppData\Local\CaptureOne/KeyboardShortcuts

    @Brandon

    It has changed.

    It's in  (Win10) "... \AppData\Local\CaptureOne\CustomCommands"

Still in the same place. Remember that Library may not be visible in Finder by default. You can make it visible by pressing the Alt key while you use the Go menu in Finder.

Are you sure you are looking in the right place? There is more than one Library folder on your Mac. (And more than one Application Support folder, therefore.)

The instructions above seems not correct, at least compared to what I see (on Windows 11). Maybe it is old?

    There is no folder .../KeyboardShortcuts

The correct folder is .../CustomCommands, at least in my installations.

It is regrettable that this, as well as the custom workspace that is in .../Workspaces130, is hidden in these hard-to-find folders. It makes it very difficult to find and more importantly, to make a backup of in case of, for example, you need to restore after a crash. This happened to me but luckily I had Capture One installed on two computers so I could copy the settings from the one that was okay.

It would be much better if one could chose WHERE to store these (and other) custom settings, like one can do, for example with Microsoft Office Custom Templates. Much easier to backup.

macOS 14.3.1 Sonoma: the KeyboardShortcuts folder does not appear until at least one custom keyboard shortcut set is saved.

To save a step you can also create the folder yourself naming it exactly 'KeyboardShortcuts' but it would be nice if the folder was there in the first place.

I'm glad you cannot change the keyboard shortcuts folder because no matter which studio/machine you're working on for the day, you know where the shortcuts will be.

You do not need to precreate the KeyboardShortcuts folder. Capture One will create the folder for you when you create a custom keyboard shortcut map. The default keyboard shortcut map is not stored there.

Walter Rowe I'm referring to a clean install of Capture One where no custom keyboard shortcut map has been saved yet. I installed 16.3.5.10 this morning on a new machine and indeed there was no KeyboardShortcuts folder until I either saved a new shortcut map or created the folder myself.

Is that a problem? Most people never know it doesn't exist until a custom map is created. Capture One handles it.
