  Do the Color and Single pixel tool only work with RAW files and not JPG?

  I see now. These sliders seem to only work on the Background layer and not on masked layers.
  
  Is there a reason for this?
  
  There seem to be other things that only wok in the Background level.

  Is there any documentation on which tools are excluded from masks?

  Hi Jill,

  I think it's a technical reason, and not a deliberate choice of Capture One editors ! You can see which tools are excluded from local adjustments by selecting the "layers" tool, creating a layer, and see if the brush symbol can be seen on top of each tool. I think there is some documentation on this, and you can find it out in the FAQ or user manual on the C1 website.

  I know that vignetting, grain,... are excluded, but there are some others.
