How do you compare 2 images in C1 PRO 3.7.6?

I am using Windows C1 PRO 3.7.6 and trying to compare two RAW images. If I select for example file number 3 and file number 8 and click on the compare button at the top of the screen, two images appear and are compared but they are not the two I selected. The first image is one of the two I selected but the second compared image is a totally different one than what I selected.

I have looked in help but don't find any info on comparing images.

Am I doing something wrong? Thanks!

  Bill,
  
  this should work for you.
  Be sure all are RAWs
  
  clicking the Compare captures Side by Side icon above Preview pane
  
  2 image will appear in Preview area. One of these will be outlined white or selected you can then select other Thumbnails to replace this image.
  Selecting the other Preview image and changing in the same manner.
  
  *4.0 version will allow you to move as many Thumbs to Preview pane for comparison as you want.
