opening C1 Pro changes monitor calibration with Vista
I'm using C1 Pro 3.7.7. Ever since the latest Vista update came out a couple of months ago, my monitor calibration changes to a default uncalibrated monitor. Monitor calibration is a huge headache with Vista, and this is just one more of the problems. As it stands now, I have to run my Spyder program every time I turn on the computer. When I open C1Pro, it changes right back, but that doesn't happen with C1-4. That wasn't a problem before the last Vista upgrade, and I can't figure out how to change the settings with C1 Pro so that doesn't happen. I still much prefer to do my RAW conversions with C1 Pro over C1-4 because on the much nicer noise free backgrounds. Unfortunately I can only roughly guess the colors I'm getting. After I convert my RAW files, I have to recalibrate the monitor and correct the colors in PhotoShop. How can I prevent C1 Pro from changing my monitor when I open it up?

Robert,
For a start I suggest to move to CO Pro 3.7.8. I am curious and eager to replay the issue, but I am traveling right now and not able to access my Vista and calibration stuff. I am curious whether users or Phase One has a solution.0 -

I am using 3.7.8 and recently updgraded from 3.7.7 under Vista Business and my monitor profile sticks. I update Vista frequently and have had no problem.
Only thing I can think of is that you have might have the default monitor profile set in C1 Pro Colour Management options - can't remember whether I had to reset it when I upgraded C1 Pro Mine is set to my PhotoCal monitor profile and the check box is not selected.0 -
Do you have a Nvidia graphic chipset?
In Quatos (german) FAQ I found this:
You have to eliminate some of Nvidias additional applications from autostart.
I think the pictures will explain it all..
Too, you can go to the video gamma loader.
Right click->properties.
assign administrator rights to all users in the security tab. maybe you should run the gamma loader in winXP compatibiliy mode ...0
