Nikon D800 Tethering issues
Hi,
I just bought C1 (v12.1.3) as I had heard it is more stable for tethering. I am using a Nikon d800 with latest firmware (1.11) and a 15inch macbook pro (10.14.6) I am using a tether tools cable with a tether boost pro.
Now my issue is that last night it worked. This morning (before my client arrived) it worked. Then nothing changed, and when my client arrived C1 couldn't see the camera.
Now it is showing that it can 'see' the D800, but it says 'No Lens Information' , then there is a battery icon with a line through (the battery is fully charged in the camera) and it wont let me take a shot.
The most frustrating thing is that it worked!! But now something is stopping it. I have tried different cables. My laptop is plugged in. I have tried the golden order of turining camera off, unplugging from both camera and laptop, restarting C1, plugging camera back in, and switching on. Still nothing. It's driving me mad. Any on else had this issue? I have more clients tmrw.
Thanks,
Dave

Hard to say... could be the camera port, could be a faulty battery, could be you need to take the lens on and off, could be the specific USB port that you used, might be that you needed to reset NVRAM or PRAM, maybe your session was corrupt.
Did you try another camera body? If that didn’t work. Did you try another computer?0 -
Thanks for the reply.
Have tried a number of those but will try and get my hands on another camera body.
I have a suspicion that it is a faulty port as it worked for a bit before stopping. Plus the USB3 port is terrible generally.
Thanks again!
