OpenCL option missing & performance issues

I'm having very poor performance dealing with 42 megapixel Sony A7RII RAW images. For example, when I adjust levels there is a ~1-2 second delay before changes made on the levels controls are applied to the image. Other graphics software does not have these issues with these files.

I went to turn on OpenCL support in CaptureOne, and for some reason the submenu for Edit->Preferences->General->Hardware Acceleration is missing, specifically the Hardware Acceleration bit. It isn't greyed out, it just isn't there. So I am left to assume that my machine is not using the GPU at the moment.

I'm using V8.333 64bit in Win 7. My workstation has a GeForce GTX 970 with a driver version that is supported according to this knowledgebase article: https://www.phaseone.com/en/Search/Arti ... cleid=1720

I use other software that requires OpenCL support, and that software detects and works fine with my GPU. I am assuming that this is a C1 issue.

Any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

    You can see in C1 Loghfiles, if C1 use OpenCL or not. C1 Logfiles you can find under \Users\YourUser\AppData\Local\CaptureOne

    Please create a support case right away. Missing items from the Preferences is definitely not normal.

    Robert, I did find the ImgCoreOCL.log file with the following information in it:

    So it looks like C1 might be initializing OpenCL... we'll see what support says!

    I updated to the latest version and manually removed the junk left over by the uninstaller (as requested by support), I now have that missing "Hardware Acceleration" menu back and performance is much improved now that I was able to set this to "Auto".

    The interface still has random slowdowns. Overall I am VERY happy with C1 and where it has gone since the last time I evaluated it, but I would recommend that you put a little more energy into UI experience. I love the non-destructive workflow and hate your competition's absurd licensing policies. Speed up the UI!

    Preview image size adjustment may speed you app a bit.
    And of course using layers in C1 over 42megapixel RAW can be really slow, as Nikon D800 user with 38mp RAW I usually do not use them at all, because they complicate overall C1 speed.
    BTW Sony A7RII is new camera so, I do expect that it will be a slight speed improvement over time, as it happened for my Nikon d800 where inital camera support speed was rather poor.
