Cannot import from Fuji X-T3 or iPhone

On import source, CO12 Pro does not see my X-T3 or iPhone XS.
Tried each with USB cable connection.
iMac- High Sierra
iPhone- IOS 12.1; iPhone does not show up as a device in Finder.
Using SD card from camera- no problem.
Can the Fuji X-T3 be set up to be “seen†by CO12?
How can the iPhone be recognized as a device?

    First, the standard mode of operation regarding importing into Capture One is using a card reader. If your camera can act as a card reader, it will do the trick as well. Check your Fuji camera manual for USB connection setting, like mass storage.

    The iPhone is another story. It is not presented as a regular external storage device to the Mac. There are several ways to copy images from your iPhone to your Mac. You can use iCloud Photo Library and wait for the sync to complete, or export each image as a file to a cloud based service like Dropbox, or copy to your Mac via AirDrop. Personally I use AirDrop.
