Catalog use ?
I personally am interested in the idea of using the catalog feature for an archive catalog.
I will capture in sessions and archive as always, but it would actually be great to be able to quickly and easily create a catalog of the entire session and all sub folders for reference once the archive volume that contain the sessions is offline. And the ability to search the catalogs through C1 would be great. I currently use a third party program for this and works ok but like the idea of using C1 only if possible.
That said, my first priority is capture and C1-7 needs to be solid in that department first and foremost. Stability and functionality on set is most important.
Can the catalog feature do all this? I played with it for a few minutes and it seemed cumbersome regarding cataloging an entire session and sub folders.

Maybe the catalog feature must mature before it is ready for archiving purposes. My 2cts. 0
