Future DNG Support

Can someone please clarify for me Phase One's plans for future DNG support in the Capture One software. To be more clear, does Phase One plan to support the reading & writing of DNG files from Capture One?

  Closest 'Official' statement from Phase One to date is:
  
  

  When shooting with a Phase One digital back, it is necessary to process your RAW files with the Capture One software.
  
  DNG support in Capture One is on the road map for late 2006. With this feature in place, you will be able to exchange RAW files with other applications such as Apple Aperture or Adobe Photoshop.
  
  It is always recommended that you process RAW files from your Phase One digital back in the Capture One software for consistent, high quality results.

  Thanks Keith. I am interested in exchanging DNG files between Capture One and IView or IMatch or some other cataloging program. The statement you references sounds like this is in the works. Hopefully it will make it into the next release!!
