catalog: sync changes & some tiffs do not show up
Started a catalog for a bunch of sessions.
2 issues.
1. If I move files around - say in finder - how do I get the catalog to update? I see no sync command like in LR, I can try re-importing but it doesn't remove files, just shows as offline.
2. Some files will not import, I understand PSD's will not import but some tiffs import - some don't for me. Are there some specific settings I need to use when saving tiffs so that they will be compatible with C1 catalogs?

1) right click on the image and use Locate...
2) not sure, are the flattened or have layers ?0 -
1. C1 catalog will not remove images (if they have been deleted somewhere else) like the sync feature in LR. unless I am missing something.
2. I have layered files, with adjustment layers (from PS) even ones with smart objects showing in the catalog - but for some reason other similar images do not. that is what I am trying to figure out. they aren't like 3GB or cmyk, etc.
I've decided to use first a session (as I've always done), then when I need to edit a larger body of work, use the catalog then work with processed and editing images in bridge (using the sidecar feature).
I can't worry about getting PSDs and TIFFs to work with this catalog, but its nice to access all of my sessions of a particular photo genre at one time.0 -
1) ah I see what you mean, there is no filter for offline files either so you can't search and mass delete. This is something that may come in a later release I expect. For now I would just not move files around outside of CO 😉 0
