spot removal removal, i.e. 'undo'
I understand how to use the spot removal tool. But if I don't like what it does, there doesn't seem to be a way to get rid of that spot removal, i.e. the red circle. I found some documentation stating that the minus key would 'remove' the spot, but that doesn't work, the minus key has no effect. I'm not even going to try the Delete key because I've found out the hard way that it might delete the entire photo, without any confirmation.
So how do I get rid of an unsuccessful attempt at spot removal?

A currently "selected" spot will display as Orange.
You can use Delete for that so long as you are working with the spot tool as the current "focus" window (to use a Windows term).
If you open the spot tool as a floating tool on your screen you will see the rest of the controls including a "-" box. If you click on that the currently selected spot will be deleted.
You do indeed seem to be completely correct that the minus key does nothing.
Remove spot is not pre-defined in keyboard short cuts and defining it seems not to work either in V10.1 .
It is probably worth raising a support case.
HTH.

ETA. You can also move a spot and change its size. If you are not getting the expected results but believe the spot shout be responding to treatment try those options as well.0 -
Thanks SFA. I didn't realize the spot tool could be opened as a floater - that solves the problem. 0 -
