Capture One Pro 10.1.2 Permissions problem
I would like to report that since Capture One Pro update from 10.0.2 to 10.1 or to the latest 10.1.2. I cannot edit most of the files in my USB external hard drive. (write protected) Some folders work and some not. The Activity windows keep on coming up saying hardware acceleration and regenerate previews.
The only way to edit the write protected files are to move the files to the local Macbook hard drive or to a small USB 3.0 2.5" LACIE 1 TB hardisk.
My external USB hardrive that not support by the 10.1.x is manufactured by G-Drive (4TB and 8TB) running USB3.0 and both recommended by APPLE.
I have reported to the support division and so far VERY DISAPPOINTED as nothing can be done.
As 10.0.2 does not support my new Panasonic GH-5.
Please if the software team read this. Do something !
I do not want a 10.1.x but something stable like 10.02 and work for my Panasonic GH-5.

Hi, any progress in resolving this? I have the exact same issue. All of a sudden, an existing external SSD disk starts producing new captures with the red pen crossed. I have been using it for a couple of months, but then one day, all captured gets the red pen. Lightroom can edit and access all files perfectly OK. COP cannot. If I create a new session on the SSD it gets the red pen. If I create a new session on the local disk, it is OK. If I move the session catalogue from SSD to local disk, the red pen disappears. If I move it back, it comes back. All other apps (ligthroom, photoshop), etc can work (read and write) to the files. It is not a permission issue in the file system as everything can access the files except COP.
My only conclusion is that there is something buggy in COP. Same results with the last two versions of COP.0 -
I spent the last 24 hours investigating this. I copied all data from the SSD to my NAS. 1TB. I then reformatted the SSD and tried COP 10.2.1. All worked fine. I could read and write to the files and no red pen crossed. I then copied my 1TB of data back to the SSD (file copy only) and the problem came back. Some of the files in some of the directories seems to be the issue. Lightroom and Photoshop works perfectly (read and write) using the SSD, but COP does not.
This needs to be fixed. I have a support case ongoing, but it seems they have problems finding the issue.0
