Adding keywords to multiple images…? Not working...

Hi,
I'm trying out C1 Pro 8 (possibly moving from Lightroom... Liking what I see…)

I'm having trouble assigning keywords to multiple images. Per the instructions on the C1 website, I select multiple images in the Browser, then, in the Metadata tab, I type in the keywords I want, then hit return. However, only one image (the one with the thicker white selection line) will have the keywords stick. All others are un-keyworded (if that's a word…) Am I doing something wrong?

  Make sure that Edit All Selected Variance in Edit menu is selected. This is so common mistake

  "Edit All Variants' doesn't work for keywords.
  
  Here's a way to do it. Tested it, works fine.

  So I've figured out how to add keywords to multiple images, however, it seems like a pretty convoluted way to do things:
  
  1) Select the images I want to keyword (making sure that the "Edit all selected variants" command is on in the Edit menu)
  2) Add keyword(s) to the primary image (the one with the bolder white border) in the Keyword tool panel
  3) In the Keyword tool panel, shift-click on the tiny "Copy settings to the adjustment clipboard" arrows icon. This both copies the keywords from the primary image and then immediately pastes them into the other selected images.
  
  While this works just fine, it seems needlessly complex to me. In Lightroom you just select the images you want to keyword and add the keywords in the appropriate panel. Done. Easy. Why can't C1 do that? Am I missing something?

  This has been discussed many times so to see the full points of view form a number of people without needing to go through another thread just run a quick search on whatever you feel is a suitable phrase and you should find the threads very easily.

  Even with Edit selected variants checked and on the keywords do not propagate without copy and apply. Drag and drop does not work on my Macs with V8.3.4.
  
  I've not been able to synchronise across multiples in any edit panels, other than global resets.
  No idea why, something as easy to do as Autosync in LR.
