6 and 7 simultaneously
I was able to run 6 and 7 at the same time (for comparison reasons). Since 7.0.1 this has become a hassle. After having run 6 it is no longer possible to startup 7 without it crashing. What I must do each time is throw away the com.phaseone.captureone.plist file of v7 in the preferences and then I can again start v7.
Cheers, Bob.

Strange, no problem here. CO6 (6.4.4) and CO7 (7.0.1) should be able to run consecutively, not concurrently. They have distinct preferences files, which do not coincide with each other, as far as I can tell.
Preferences files
CO6: com.phaseone.captureone.plist
CO7: com.phaseone.captureone7.plist0 -
It might have something to do with the window that pops up asking whether you want to authorize or run the trial or us DB. This comes up (after having run v6 and when restarting v7) and it is impossible to make a choice everything is greyed out, then C1 comes up and in a few seconds everything crashes.
Cheers, Bob.
PS Yes the plist files for v6 and v7 are different, it is the one for v7 that I have to trash and then I can again start up v7.0 -
Situation has deteriorated (or maybe was like this from the beginning without me noticing it): very simply, I cannot start up the trial version of v7.0.1 a second time. I always have to get rid of the plist file first. Strange!

Bob, ask Phase One support to intervene. Hope they can iron out the issue so you can run the trial without headache. 0 -
Thanks Paul, have done! I hope they can come up with a solution, because I completely removed v7 from my system as per the instructions on the captureintegration.com site and even then after cleanly re-installing v7 I still had the problem (both with 7.0.1 and with 7.0). I am still on my beloved MacOSX 10.6.8, I hope it does not have anything to do with that.
Cheers, Bob.0
