Crop tool needs reset every time C1 is opened

Using v 10.1.1 on 2015 macbook pro. Every time that I boot the software, I have to reset the crop tool to my preferred size.
Is there a selection in preferences to maintain the preferred setting? It seems like that was the case on previous versions.

  I have reported this in a support case, and they acknowledge that there is a bug in the latest update.
