I process DNG files from my Samsung GX-10 just fine. It's been supported in all beta versions of V4 as well as the final release.

I have a feeling that issues relating to IMGCoreprocess.exe have been raised here in another context - it may be worthwhilse doing a search for it.

I have downloaded the trialversion of C1-4 and found out that my DNG-raw files could not be processed. I got an error saying that the IMGCoreprocess.exe couldn't process the file

My DNG raw files are made with my Samsung GX-10.

Apparently these files are not supported?

    Greetings!

It seems that I have a very similar problem for my Pentax K10D (same as Samsung GX-10 as far as DNG/RAW is concerned). Please, take a look at my post below: http://forum.phaseone.com/viewtopic.php?t=4878.

I reported this problem to P1 support. They requested some additional information for analysis but based on what I see so far, it appears that K10D/GX-10 should be supported. However, there may be bugs in the implementation of C1 4.

    Best of luck,

    -Gene

The answer I got from the supportgroup said:
    ---------------------------------
    Hello

Currently we only support DNG from the cameras which is on our list of supported cameras.
There is plans to support the samsung but we currently do not have a due date for this I am sorry to say.

    Kind Regards
    Phase One Support
    --------------------------------

So this states that the Samsung DNG-RAW files are NOT supported!?

This is very peculiar as john_g says it works fine whereas berg is having axactly the same problems as I have.

    strange, strange, strange

And then to know that Bibble, Lightroom and Silkypix are doing just fine with Samsung DNG-RAW files

I just hope that they add the feature to C1-4 as it still has the best user-interface and workflow so far.

The copied Phase One reply above could mean one of two things :
    a) that CaptureOne does not support cameras not on the supported camera list
    or
    b) that PhaseOne does not support (provide help to users) for issues relating to cameras not on C1's supported camera list.
I can see how you read their email (a) but the first time I read it I thought it meant (b).

I got the following response from P1 support and it seems to work fine for me (I have a Pentax K10D):

"You need to apply a camera profile to your DNG files. If you go to the quick tool (first one after the folder navigation window pane) you can select either Pentax K10D Generic, Phase One No color Correction, or Adobe DNG File Neutral. One the file has an input ICC Prolfile connected to it, you should be able to process it."

Perhaps you can try associating one of the ICC profiles identified above and see what will happen.

    Best of luck,

    Amazing........ it works !!!! 😄 😄 😄

Why can't the supportdesk produce these simple but yet effective answers in the first place ?!

PS Markus, you have to import some dng's first; then the ICC profiles menu becomes effective and you can choose 'neutral'
Then change and process a DNG into jpeg en see for yourself

And what happens when you choose "Pentax K10D Generic" in the ICCProfiles?

Im see nothing because program don't open my pef.
This type of raw is not recognized.
Im must use converter and convert my pef-s to Pentax ist DS format raw.
After it my photos are displayed...
But colors not look good, in many other program my picutres look better.
Without conversion CO 4.0 is not usable for me...

So far I'm doing fine with the new Capture 4x software.... it supports ~most~ of my cameras except one... Samsung GX-1L. Still waiting...

Isn't the Samsung GX-1L basically the same camera as the Pentax *istDL2 which was released more than a year ago? Am I wrong in the assumption that the *istDL2 generated PEF files are basically the same format as the PEF files generated by the Samsung?

    If so..

Then why is there support for the *istDL2 but not the GX-1L equivalent?
