Capture One Pro on a Macbook Air
Greetings all. I was looking for a review like this a couple of weeks ago, but couldn't find one anywhere, so I wrote it myself. Of interest to anyone using C1 Pro on a laptop.

I bought a MB Air 11inch (4GB/128GB/i5) a few days back. C1 Pro seems to work fine with both my Leaf aptus 75 nikon dslr and from my perspective;
Positives;
It's fast opening C1 pro, fast making changes and fast processing the images.
No rotating drive makes it more rugged and less likely to be lose data if dropped
4 hours+ using C1 in my tests.
802.11n radio seems very fast
negatives;
Obviously the 11in screen is a drawback, but it's the best 11screen I've used.
Backups are important - no longer can you pull the drive from a dead laptop and slot it into a usb caddy.
doesn't support gesture based zooming/scrolling
No wired network connection, so you'll always be wireless (or use USB - wired)

I have also bought a Macbook Air with 11" display and 4G/128G and this works very well with my C1 .6.6.2, at least as good as on my Windows 7 based desktop PC (and somewhat faster), except for one issue:
When connecting my Nikon D90, this is not recognized by the Finder og C1. I have to go via iPhoto (where it is recognized) and then export to a folder which can be found by C1.
It is no problems to operate tethered with the Macbook Air and D90.
When connecting my Sony R1, this device is found both by the Finder and C1.
Any explaination why not working with D90. On the Windows 7 based PC no problem at all.0
