In general when C1 is connected to a camera it expects to be used in "Tethered" mode (for supported cameras) and does not see the camera as a storage device.

Either connect the camera to the computer as a storage device, download to you chosen folder and then import from there (or if using sessions you can work on the files directly from the download folder); or

Remove the memory card form the camera and use the card reader as you already do. This is generally much faster and does not deplete the camera's battery.

Whether Fuji, through the special Fuji version relationship, will seek to change that arrangement is something one could speculate about but I would not think that they would see it is a high priority. No other manufacturer seems to be concerned about it. Most users are not concerned about it either - especially those who already need to use multiple memory cards during a shoot.

    HTH.

Just bought Capture One Pro for Fuji. When I connect my Pro2 to the PC and start up Capture One, Capture One doensn't see the Pro 2 for importing files (RAF and JPG).
When I take the SD card out of the slots of the cam and place them in a card reader Capt One sees the card and files and I can download the files.

Does anybody recognize this problem of not being able to download from the XPRO 2 wired to the PC/Caprure One?

You need to go into XPRO 2 menu system and set setup/connection setting/PC connection mode to USB card reader.
    Hope this helps.
