I would suspect the user base who use photo's and then jumps to capture one pro is slim to none. Lightroom and discontinued Aperture was aimed towards photographers.

Just as there wasn't and isn't an iPhoto library importer.

    Paul,
Seriously? As a forced refugee first from Capture NX2 and then Aperture, I can attest to the fact that searching for an alternative that was NOT Lightroom may have led many of us to Photos temporarily before finding Capture One Pro.

That's the boat I'm in...I've amassed about a 75GB Photos library while testing out Capture One. I can export and re-import, but that's time I'd rather not spend...

Yes I'm serious, i don't know any photographer that would resort to Apples iphoto/photos before LR or any other alternative.

What i'm trying to say it that the user base who gone this route is slim to none in comparison to people who migrate from LR or Aperture.

So i for one understand if PO doesn't include the option to import such a library.

Disappointing with the snobbery occuring here from @PaulLindqvist.  Some photos I shoot with my Nikon and some photos I shoot with my iPhone X.  Would be nice to have them both end up in the same place with minimal effort.  The phone automatically syncs to Apple Photos and iCloud.  I import the Nikon shots to CaptureOne.  If CaptureOne would either (1) import from photos, including any adjustments or (2) integrate with iCloud, my life would be much easier.

There are a lot of us who, for one reason or another, take photography seriously, but DO have the need to move images from iCloud and Photos to CaptureOne.

Disappointing that The CaptureOne crew doesn't take the Mac community more seriously and provide more seamless iCloud integrations.

Joe a little late to the party, but welcome! :-)

C1 5-years later is still catered as a tool for professional photographers, so I for one am glad they do not waste resources on a niché feature such as iCloud/photos import.

Just because my opinion is different from yours doesn't make me an elitist, there are different user bases, and more often than not you choose which base to focus on.
