C1 v8 DAM Improvements?
In my initial look at v8, I don't see anything new in the Catalog. Stacks, keywords? Did I miss something?

I haven't played with it much but I was about to throw out CP1v7 because I imported 50k images and it came to a virtual halt. Took a chance and upgraded to v8 and it sings now running the same exact database. So while there may not be "feature" improvements, for me it is a HUGE improvement nonetheless. 0 -
From reading comments it looks like this maybe a stable version, which would really be a novelty for C1 long term users.... here's hoping paying for the upgrade might be finally worth it. I feel like I've shot tethered into Capture One waiting for it to crash for more than half my career. .. please let this release be resolution to long term stability issues 😕 0 -
It doesn't sound as if I missed anything. C1 v8 hasn't made any progress against Aperture or Lightroom with its DAM features. ☹️ 0 -
The two mayor improvements I see in the DAM area are the much better (even if not yet perfect) keywording process and the possibility to import/export catalogs or part of them. 0 -
Not just me then Jeremy...
This release does seem to be very stable and quick (No longer waiting ages for C1 to open)
So far, no hangs or crashes.
It's like V3 all over again!!0 -
hi Bob, there is no improvement in any of the issues you mentioned. Keywording has been improve a little bit, but nothing to be taken seriously, nevertheless, the stability is better and some other nice additions to the post processing are also most welcome. I rather work with a software such as C1 that is still missing lots of DAM capabilities, than trying to work with a software (Lightroom) that is not an intuitive and which colour rendition is not so great. 0
