Have additional graphic cards been enabled for open CL in v. 6.1?
(I have an ATI Radeon HD 4600 with 1 GB RAM - Open CL is still not an option ☹️ )

If you look back in the topic 'cannot enable opencl' you will see comment from lionel12 to the effect that ati (amd) cards below 57xx 58xx and above do not have sufficient processing power to support opencl processing. Hence I would think that your card will not be supported.

I had a 5770 which did enable opencl (could not see any difference to opencl off - ver 6.0 & 6.0.1 ) whilst my current 5670 will not enable opencl (ver6.1) I may try the new nvidia gtx 560. It seems most of the gtx range, at least gtx 460 upwards, the so called 'Fermi' cards, are much more suited to running C1 opencl instructions. Please note I am not 100% in this, especially as i did not pick up on the comment from lionel until after I had purchased the 5670!! However that is how I read at the moment. There seems to be no definitive list available, nor can we really expect one (yet) as there are so many cards.

Thanks for that Ray, that answers my question (I just found the "other thread").
Wow, this Open CL sure is a performance hog. I looked at the 5770, which looks nice. But I am not sure if I can arrange my cards for it to have access to a double slot space (I do have a recent i7, Windows 64 bit machine).

    Been there recently.
Fast GPUs on a single slot configuration are like a needle in a hay stack. There are a few solutions but these very long cards and also expensive. Probably water cooled also: http://www.evga.com/articles/00592/
OTOH I've fitted a 430 fermi on my system and it does the trick on C1.

P.S. For me this wasn't an option but it looks like 9800GT's are relatively common in single slot configurations.
