Pro 4.7: Select multiple files, apply settings = not working
Tearing my hair out here, trying to justify the EU300 upgrade to 4.7.
I'm trying to apply some settings to a series of images within my shoot. I've tried to select all (small white border), applied the settings to the image (with the thick white border), gone to adjustment panel, tried (1) copy and apply, but nothing happens to the images with the thin white border, so I tried to use a style and apply it, still nothing.
So I read Fritz' posting and tried to use a rating to select the files I want to adjust, but still can't get that setting to apply to multiple images. I had one selected (thick white border), and the remaining 130+ of 900+ images with thin white borders and where as in 3.7 if I clicked a star rating all selected would get it, in 4.7 I can't get the others to take the rating. I tried with all manner of CMD, OPT, SHFT keys, nothing. And if I wanted to have no rating in 3.7 I'd click on the one star again and it would go away, now I have to go to a CMD click menu. Wasting my time even more.
Is this madness, or am I missing something so simple you've forgotten to write it up. Iv'e looked in the manual and it just says, "select the group of images that you want to apply changes to" That's it. It doesn't work for me!

Have you disabled the "Edit primary only" button in the toolbar (first icon from the left, in the right group)? 0 -
OK: Yes NOW!
After I found and turned off Edit Primary Only, it still it won't apply a rating to multiple images.0 -

If you go to the copy/apply changes (tab that looks like a sheet of paper) and select the rating in the copy and then apply you will get the ratings to appear. It is a little clunky but works. You may be able to right click and get the same effect. though not sure.0 -
Thanks Shawn2, I'll give it a go
