Import/export annotations
Which muppet decided it was a good idea to change the short cut for exporting annotation into the short cut for importing annotations?
I mean, it's not like a short cut I'll have used before now is it?
No, only about half a dozen times a session, 3 or 4 sessions a day, it's something that comes naturally to me that I don't even know I've done it until all my annotations have just disappeared. alt cmd b, enter, there I go again and I'm not even using media pro.
Whose great idea was that?

While i see that it is not very convenient to you, they probably did it to align the behaviour between MP and CO. I don't think it's muppet behaviour 😊
They might have made it more explicit though.0 -
"Not very convenient" That's an understatement! 🤬
Imagine spending a hour or so religiously adding keywords and captions to a shoot ready to send out to a client today, and by pressing apple e, apple a, and alt apple b, the same way I have have thousands of times before all my work has vanished rather than being applied.
It is total madness. If I hadn't just spent money buying the software for myself (as opposed to using an older company copy) and I knew the software inside out I'd be deleting it and moving to bridge.
Anger does not even begin to come close to describing how I'm feeling at the moment.
I'm trialling Capture 1 at the moment...And you know what? I'm now asking myself why I'm bothering0 -
I understand and i feel your pain. I made this understatement because this forum is full of overstatements lately.
I understand that based on past experience you used the tool and are frustrated (at least) that the application changed as opposed to your experience. I've been there (not with MP or CO). That's why i added "They might have made it more explicit though".
I am also very strongly in favour of keeping shortcuts unchanged for the exact reason you're bringing up. But, i also want MP and CO to be better integrated. That does mean breaking some conventions sometimes, unfortunately.
I hope all works out for you.0 -
"They might have made it more explicit though".
To bring in another understatement, communication has not been the best quality of PhaseOne...
I'm affraid it will never be
