Capture One catalog in Mac Media Browser?
On the Mac, I can browse media files in certain applications, e.g. Safari. The dialog in Safari lets me choose photos from iPhoto or Aperture:

I would expect to find the images managed by Capture One also there, but they are not. Is there a setting I missed?
Your help is very much appreciated!

I would not expect that.
I am not sure what kind of "Plug-in" CO would have to have to be able to do that. As both iPhoto/Aperture and Photo.app are Apple products, I expect them to be found in the Media browser. I have never seen LR catalogs show up either.
Because of this my images are always categorized in 2 applications. CO8.1 and Aperture. When Aperture finally is no longer feasible, I will move over to the Photo.app for letting "Apple" see the images, as this will also include syncing with iTunes and my iPhone and iPad. (I know I can manually handle the images in iTunes, as I believe Windows users have to do.) I like being able to tell iTunes, Sync the last 2 months of all images, and selectively select albums to alway be included, and everything is handled with not intervention.
With CO8, this is not to much of as an issue because, I never fell that images from CO8 are "Finished", they always need to go to "PhotoShop", where in Aperture I always felt like they could be complete with out going to PS or other plugins. So doing the "Export" from CO to finishing in PS, then importing the finished files into aperture, is not an issue.
