Lost folder and projects
In my refrenced catalog (ver.12) user collection, each year is given a folder and within theses folders lie projects that house albums.
I don't exactly know how, but I accidentally deleted my 2019 folder and it's content from the catalog.
Actually, I Thought I was deleting a single image and by some mistake deleted the entire folder.
The originals however are still intact on the external hard drive and have not been affected .
They do appear in the "recent captures" tab in the catalog window
How do I fix this ? thanks

If you have recently backed up your catalog you could restore your catalog to the backed up version.
I have set my catalog backup to "to remind on Cclose", which is every time I close Capture One. Then, if I've made no changes, I decline the backup.0 -
...and if you haven't recently backed up your catalog (using the facility in Capture One) you may be able to restore it instead from a Time Machine backup (or other system backup) if you have one.

When you say you lost a folder, you are probably referring to part of a User Collections Capture One refers to as a "Group" in which you can create projects, albums and smart albums? Groups look like transparent folder icons. Capture One refers to referenced files locations as "Folders," which appear below the User Collections. These folders are represented by the solid color (white) folder icons.
It looks like you deleted a Group, not a Folder, in which case you can restore it from a Catalog Backup or a Time Machine backup if you backup the catalog with Time Machine. If you had selected an actual referenced file Folder, you would need to retrieve it from a Time Machine or other backup.
At some point, virtually all of us will accidentally delete something we do not want to lose. It is a best practice to back up the catalog (from within Capture One) every time you make changes before you close the catalog and to back up referenced files to an external drive for that purpose using Time Machine or another backup app, like ChronoSync.0 -
I was working on changes when I lost my 2019 folder (or: Group)
and before I could save it.
So restoring from a back up would not help.
Since the Originals were intact, I recreated the projects and albums from memory, then populated them by re importing the originals to the catalog. fixed
