Nvidia or AMD?

Just tried out CO9 after years of Lightroom and I can't believe how fast it is, image loads almost instant. I currently use a 6700k with intel HD530 because Lr gpu support is a joke, so no need for a real one, but now that I'm about switch id ike to know wich GPUs are best? I think AMD are better for open CL so in theory they should be faster but sometimes in real world stuff are different.

So, wich card is best for CO9? AMD R9 NANO or GTX970?

    Between the two, the R9 Nano without a shadow of a doubt. In general, we have found that AMD cards are stronger in OpenCL per money spent.

    do you know that LR is not using Open CL? LR need a Open GL 😉
    Photoshop use both of them and C1 I mean only Open CL.

    GTX 960TI or wait for the new nVidia Cards like GTX 1080 😄

    The HD530, supports OGL, so your points are kinda mute..

    My AMD R9 390 flies with C1 so the Nano would be better.. I'm guessing the new 480 would do just as well?

    You have not understand my intention.
    I know that HD530 supports OGL to - but by OGL are nVidia cards better than AMD.

    The question is rather what exactly you want to compare.

    AMD is cheaper
    AMD need more power so is not as efficient
    AMD should better with OCL
