This question passes by in a regular frequency here. It's not a feature yet of 4.x Pro/DB. Maybe you can use Overlay. Feature request is pending.

Hi Paul, thanks for your feedback again. Regarding the overlay tool, is there a way to get the overlay to appear on the processed file? That way it could be used to apply a watermark. I wonder why they took this feature off 4.6.
    Cheers, john.

Hi John, my error. I assumed the overlay WAS processed, but then I was to optimistic. So, I end up with nothing for today. ☹️
From what I have understood here, Phase One intends to add the watermark to CO 4 feature set with a future release (together with other feature, new and old).
This does not have to stop you from making a feature request in a support case.

I can confirm that this is definitely in the pipeline, no need for additional feature requests. It is no easy task to implement so it will not likely be seen in 4.7, but should come after that.

Yet, the overlay tool produces a visual effect perfectly suited to image-based watermarks. I don't really need to be able to enter the text of the watermark and ask Capture One to render the font for me. That's why we have Photoshop and other such tools - I can create the watermark I want as a transparent PNG and could nicely apply it as an overlay.

Why not make it an option to output the overlay during processing? That should be relatively easy to implement, one would think, given that the code is already there to scale, blend and position the overlay. The only tweak I'd suggest might be to allow for a smaller minimum scale than 25% - make it perhaps 1% or 5%.

Then, if you still feel inclined to provide text-based watermarks as well, go ahead. However, in the mean time, we'd all have a "Plan B" workaround for this function. Win-win, yes?

    Hurry!!!
i am still using Capture One Pro because it has the watermark function...
    i then create a webpage with the 4 . 8 . 3
i wish i could use the new software but feel it would take way to long to be going back and forth the "other way"

when is it coming out and why was this allowed to be ignored...
