    *BUMP* *BUMP*

I'm demoing C1P 7.1.3 in consideration of an upgrade from C1P 6.4.4 and MediaPro 1.2.0.54197.

I first imported a small MP catalog of a couple hundred images with no problem. I then tried to import a large MP catalog containing close to 25000 images, and received the following message after import:

    3513 files imported
    21250 incompatible files
    0 offline files skipped

As the original poster mentioned, there is no reference as to which "incompatible" files were skipped, or why.
The catalog I imported contains NEF, IIQ, TIFF, JPG, and PSD files, so I'm not sure what's so incompatible.

It's a pain when this happens during a demo, Murphy's law they say.

You could separate the images per type and load each type separately. That way, you could perhaps find out what's the culprit.

Did you already raise a support request with phase one. I'm sure they'll be able to find out for you what's the problem.

Please do feedback to the forum, inquisitive minds are interested 😎

The PSD files are incompatible for sure. CO 7 does not import PSD.

Not a big deal for me if it doesn't import PSD (the few PSDs I have are just design mock-ups), but I'm sure others would appreciate at least the ability to catalog PSDs.

So, as an update: I began a fresh import of the same ~25000 image catalog yesterday around 12:00pm CST, and as of this morning at 7:15am (19hrs later), I'm at 16093 of 24763.

This is definitely trucking along better than the first attempt, but damn it's taking forever!

I've been hesitant on upgrading to C1P7 because I do work heavily in catalogs, so I've been skeptical as to the performance and stability of this LightRoom-esque evolution of combining DAM and Raw processing.

Hopefully this large import will allow me to put C1P7 through the tests successfully, but I guess time will tell ...
