how to apply settings in ver4 as in ver 3
Hi,
Just starting to use 4.6.3 and am having trouble deciphering usermanual/help info. Right now, I'm trying to figure out how to selectively apply changes from one image to others.
In 3.7.3 I might adjust colour balance, select a bunch of similars and option-click "Apply to selected captures" button.
In 4.6 as best I can tell the only way to do this is via Copy Adjustments/Apply Adjustments.
The only problem is is applies all kinds of adjustments. eg. exposure as well as colour balance when I only want colour balance to change.
I remember seeing a screen where you could select which adjustments to apply but I can't find it right now and it all seems so much more labour intensive than previously.
Am I missing something???
Thanks.

After Copy Adjustments command, go to the Adjustments tool tab. There you'll find the total list and can you decide which adjustment to apply (check/uncheck boxes). Next apply the Paste Adjustments command. 0 -
Thanks Paul, i knew I saw it somewhere.
It still seems extremely cumbersome though.
I would just like to be able to make a change (colour temp, exposure, sharpening... whatever) and click a button to apply that one change to other selected images.
Option-click and it was done. Now you have to click into the Adjustments clipboard, then make multiple selections/deselections, then apply.
It is SO MUCH more work it makes me think I am either missing the simple way to do it as before, OR the new process could be much more powerful and flexible but requires a new way of thinking that I haven't figured out.
Either way, I don't much care for the experience so far.0 -
Hi Allen, if edit primary variant only is unchecked some things will adjust in tandem with your edits on the primary variant and other things don't and still other things won't even if you select them in the adjustments pane. This seems to still be in development.
