Change read-only file to be editable?

A TIFF created with Helicon Focus (from some D850 photos) is for some reason showing as read-only in Capture One (not in MACOS!). I've done this before with no issue, so not sure what happened this time.

Anyone have any ideas? Is there some command in C1 to change the file to editable? I couldn't find it.

    The option "Enable TIFF Editing" in C1 Preferences->Image comes to mind.
    TIFFs are not all equal, your file may possibly have properties that C1 does not handle. What happens if you try one of the TIFFs you have successfully worked on in C1?
