Reading .MXF file format
I was hoping to use Media Pro to catalogue my video files, but many of them are in an .MXF format. It appears Media Pro doesn't recognize that format. Am I right, and if so, is there a work around?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Hi,
maybe if I'm right about your question.
On Mac you can create a file in ~/Library/Application Support/Phase One Media Pro/Plug-ins/Importers/Custom.txt
Here is a Example
pld |0|PhotoLine Document
On Windows you need to search where is the directory "Phase One Media Pro/Plug-ins/Importers"
Hope its can help you.0 -
So, once one gets to the "Importers" folder that you direct to, what is the next step? How do I get Media Pro to read the .mxf video file? Not really clear on how to do that. 0 -

The next step is - you must tell Media Pro which Program can read the file (see my example)
pld |0|PhotoLine Document
pld - is the file extension. Media Pro can't read this
PhotoLine - is the Software which can read/ write the file format
You need something like this
mxf |0|VLC Document0
