with a 555eld, its neither the cord nor the pc connection on the lens
on the latest mac pro, thethered on a 300 feet cord, ..

ideas? thanks, ..

  yes and it happens in forced battery mode and powered by cpu

  The 300' FW cord is about 285 Feet Too Long !
  
  Supported FW cord length is 15' / 4.5 Meters
  IF a longer cord is needed, then a Portable Solution / Repeater is necessary.
