8.1.1 Catalog Glitch?
I upgraded to 8.1.1 from 8.0.2 yesterday without incident. After I installed it I opened my catalogs and let Capture One update the catalogs to the new format. The updated catalogs opened properly, but today when I went back into them Capture One would hang on opening. I did a verify catalog and the utility reported a database error. I did a successful repair and now everything appears to be performing properly. I had to repeat this process on my remaining catalogs. It seems that there may be a glitch in the catalog update function - at least on my machine.

After reading the post about 8.1 catalogs that periodically fail the verification test and require repair, I re-checked the three catalogs that were corrupted when I upgraded from 8.0.2 to 8.1.1. One of the three reported a database error (again). A repair corrected it, but it seems there is an on going issue with 8.1.1 catalogs on my machine. Whether it is an actual database error or just a glitch in the verification utility is unknown. The initial database error (after conversion to the 8.1.1 format) was real since 8.1.1 would freeze when trying to open any of them. 0 -
Looks like a glitch in the "Close and Check" part of the procedure. As long as the catalog being verified is closed the verification runs clean. If it is open and a Close and Check action is performed a "Database Check Failed" error is consistently returned. 0
