Capture One 5.2 and OS X 10.7 Lion
Hello,
I'm currently using using CO version 5.2 on OS X 10.6.X. Haven't moved up to CO version 6 on this machine because, as far as I know, I won't be able to shoot tethered with my Canon 5D (haven't been able to shoot tethered with V6 on my PC, at least). So this brings me to two questions:
1) Any idea if I'm going to run into problems running CO 5.2 on OS X 10.7 Lion, or
2) Is there any way to shoot my 5D tethered with CO 6.X?

Cutting a long story short: tethering your Canon 5D ends with CO 5.2.1 as far as CO is concerned. CO 5.x is supported on OS X 10.6.x and won't be maintained for 10.7/Lion (my safe bet on that). It might work, nor not. Lion is not yet released, so user experiences are not available yet. My take: don't do it. Not supported means it might work today, but not tomorrow (say for example when 10.7.1 is released).
The Canon 5D is from a previous generation hardware and software. Don't get out-of-sync. Keep hardware and software from the same generation together. Canon dropped support for the 5D in their software kit and EOS Utility. Keep a system or computer running for this camera as long as you use it.
