Browser sort order lost with styles preview
I tried to search the forum to see if this is a known issue but I haven't found anything.
Steps to reproduce:
1) create a catalog and import 3 files
2) make sure the browser sort order is set to Name
3) rate the last picture 5 stars
4) switch the browser sort order to Rating (the 5 stars picture is now first)
5) go to Adjustments/Built-in Styles and mouse over some styles to preview the style
6) sort order of the pictures in the browser reverts to Name (the 5 stars picture is last again) even though the sort drop-down menu still says Rating

Same issue - has been so for the last 3 or so iterations of 8.x (up to 8.3x on W7 64x 8 GB RAM).
Catalogues daily backed-up & optimized. No corrupt photos. Images not imported into catalogue. Catalogue resides on Computer drive, Images on external drive (fixed drive assignment).
I am not sure why the preview sort order is lost consistently after assigning a rating * or color when in a sort mode of * or color respectively.
The Sort order reverses upon assigning a rating value ( what is a "highest" star rating at top of browser images preview - becomes switched to the bottom of the preview images filtered sort order- top is now at bottom)
Most Irritating...

Unfortunately, this issue is still present in the newly released version 9.

Such a shame, when a folder with several hundred images in it needs to be reset sort order - it makes for a counter-intuitive workflow process... Shall we say "breaks" the workflow and does not this product in part "extol" it's workflow excellence. Bewildered as this is a DB issue alone I believe and should be relatively simple to "fix"... 0
