I'm on Mac OS 10.9.5. I had a 5d mk 3 tethered. First sign of bugs is Info is incomplete under the image in the viewer. Specifically the image number is missing. Sometimes it's there, sometimes not. Next problem is whenever I changed a folder name in the session the software crashed.

Follow this guide to reset and reinstall capture one and try again!

    Hi Dale,

Please make a case at support.phaseone.com.

Run the "File Packager" from the scripts menu and attach it to the case along with other information on the time/date you observed the issues and we will try to see whats going on - this is not normal.

I wrote a review on Capture One Pro 8.2, if you're interested. A description of the changes small and large.

    You can find it here:

I just wanted to thank you for your review of CaptureOne 8.X. I read your review and found it both interesting and informative and decided that the upgrade from 7.X to 8.2 was worth taking advantage of. I used the coupon code you provided and saved 10% on the upgrade so thank for that as well.

The new color balance tool will make a lot of people happy including me, i am one of those who wanted the Capture One raw conversion, but really struggled with getting the colors correct over the whole image...

And thanks, Paul Steunebrink for a good explanation on how it works 😎

Thanks for adding the color balance/saturation tool. It works like a charm. As a colorist this is a feature i've been waiting for a long time.

My next wish would be an integration with color grading hardware. Why? Using GUI limits you to one adjustment at a time while the hardware allows you to make several adjustments simultaneously. The knobs, balls & wheels of the panels are user definable (function & sensitivity) which means that you can customise them to suit your workflow. All this gives you so much more artistic freedom and technical precision over the jumping from slider to slider.

    thanks in advance 😊

Given that the hardware support key-mapping, that is is already possible.

8.2.1 is showing up in my preferences panel.

Anybody has the release notes for that? Maybe they fixed my adjustments-reset bug.

Update: never mind, got it. No fix 😭

The 8.2.1 release fixes the cropping issues reported by some users and adds support for the High-res E-M5 II raws. 8.2.1 is a Mac only release.

You can find 8.2.1 here. It may not be advertised as 8.2.1, but as 8.2 instead, probably because there is no 8.2.1 for Windows.
