D600 C1 pro 6
I know this isn't the first post about this topic, but is there any chance of an ETA or news for C1 Pro 6 support of the D600?
I bought a licence for C1 at the same time as the D600 but am still waiting. feeling like my money's gone down the drain.
thanks
Alex

CO6 is discontinued and replaced by CO7. There are no plans to add any new camera-support to version 6. Version 7 already support the D600 raw format.0 -
So i have to shell out another $300 essentially because the D600 never got support?
that's really unfortunate and very frustrating0 -
Where do you get the 300 from ? http://www.phaseone.com/en/Online-Store ... grade.aspx 0 -
Fair point, but I'm still stuck with spending extra cash because they decided not to support the camera until a later version.
Had it public that the D600 would never be compatible, that would be a different story. I Just feel cheated.0 -

As a user do not want to interfere in sales-related issues, but you can look it from a different angle. One angle is that you feel cheated. I understand that.
Another one: I don't know when you bought either CO Pro 6 and your camera, but the D600 became available around the time CO Pro 7 was released to market if I am right. So if you were an early adopter of this model, you always take a risk with a 3rd party raw processor. I mean, you never can be sure.
And: what if CO Pro 6 did support your camera, would you be tempted to upgrade anyway? CO7 brings such much to the table in terms of image quality among others, that the upgrade price could be worthwhile anyway.
Just my 2 cts.0 -
I hear what you are saying, and you are right, I was an early adopter and purchased the D600 early, and C1 prior to gen. 7's release. That is risky, but I expect a lot from companies that release quality products and stands behind it's name; especially one with a reputation like Phase.
As for upgrading, I don't do it unless it's absolutely necessary; if C6 is fine today, why is it no longer any good tomorrow when C7 comes out? I either wait a gen. or two because that's typically how long it takes for real advancements that warrants shelling out extra cash. Seeing as how Phase treats it's clients, I don't know if I want to support a company like that.0
