Originals have gone missing????
Hello, I'm pretty new to Capture One and I'm having issues with all my originals being missing.. I have imported raw photos into two seperate catalogs last week, from my SD card which uses the E: drive when inserted.. I had no problems processing a few of the photos into .jpg files, and this was done after importing and after the SD card had been ejected and removed. This morning, I opened the program to go and process a few more, and I noticed that I could not process any of them and that they were displayed as "offline"... After searching the directories of both catalogs, it seems that the "originals" folders on both of them are empty. Can anyone shed some light on what happened, or what I can do to resolve this? I can see all the previews from both catalogs, but it seems that the original images have disappeared.. Thank you, and I appreciate the help.

There are a few possibilities but it sounds like you imported them without copying them to a permanent hard drive.
This article might help.

In particular the settings you choose for the Import To section of the dialog box. If you chose to reference them directly from your SD card and not copy them to another HD that would cause the issue you are seeing.0 -
There's a few mechanisms to prevent users from being able to leave the Destination set to Current Location when importing from a memory card, though it would be possible to specify a different location on the same SD card (so Referenced, though not using Current Location).
In all likelihood, your images were imported into the catalog from the memory card's mount location. If you haven't erased the card, they're still there.0 -
Assuming the worst scenario for a moment, if the originals were left on the card and you have reformatted the card but not used it, the originals may still be recoverable - though probably not with their original file names. 0
