Lens Profile for Canon EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM

There does not seem to be a lens profile for the Canon EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM.

While it is a very nice crop-lens, it has quite a bit of distortion and it would be great if C1 could automatically take care of this for me.

Is there anything I can do help speed up the creation of a lens profile? Is it possible to create my on lens profile? Thanks.

    Unfortunately lens profiles are created only by PO on their own premises, as it was pointed out in some other thread by PO.
    What you can do is use generic lens profile which does a decent job, for generic distortion correction.

    Thanks for your reply Andriy. I am new to C1. How regularly do PO add lens profiles? Does this only happen sporadically or are they fairly good with keeping the profile library up to date?

    You may want to try PTLens from epaperpress. I used it some time ago, and it was quite effective.

    We constantly update the library with more lens-profiles. Usually between 5-15 pr release.

    I would also hope PO to add profile for this lens. It's not a big seller, but it is one of the better walk-around lens out there for Canon crop bodies like the 7D2. I am also using this one after using the 17-55 for a long time.

    Create a Support Case asking for support for the lens.

    That way Phase will officially register the request ans can count how many people seem to be interested.

    The more people interested, the better the chance that they will seek to obtain a sample lens or two and profile it.
