According to P1, upgrading is downgrading
Hi,
Given the upgrade price for C1 v12 full version, those using only a Fuji or Sony camera could be tempted to upgrade to the camera specific version because it's cheaper. No way. Even if you own a license for v11 full version, you can't upgrade to the Fuji or the Sony C1 v12 version because this is considered as a downgrade by the commercial power-that-be at P1. You have to purchase a full Sony or Fuji version.
So they prefer not selling an upgrade at all instead of selling an upgrade to a camera specific version.
Strange.

Yes, I find this a bit strange too. 0 -
Could it be that the way the activation works it would no longer be possible to run V11 full Pro on a V12 Sony only Pro licence?
Rewriting the licence management code to cater for extremely rare situations that would not produce enough revenue to pay for the effort and for future maintenance of the system would not be logical. IMO.
Buy the Sony Pro licence for about the same cost? Have 2 licences to play with, albeit one for the older version.
