pro 4.8.3 compatible with OS x 10.5.4?
I'm shooting tethered to a 5D Mark II. My software has been quite buggy and I'm wondering if it's my conflicting with my OS...
-won't open after being minimized
-frequently discards custom WB
-occasionally shows the thumbnail of a deleted image after capturing a new image in the main window. Sometimes even shows a deleted image in the main window after capturing a supposedly new image.
Do I need to upgrade to leopard?

You are already on Leopard (OS X 10.5.x), you only need to update it. Sync your Mac with Apple's update site for free (10.5.8 is current).
Not sure whether this is the cause of your errors, but its a start.0 -
Thanks Paul. I tried that and so far so good. 0 -
If you are shooting tethered through EOS Utility 2.6.1 Capture One must be the top screen, not minimized or Hidden. It will crash if it is not on top. Shooting tethered through Capture One Pro involves fewer steps and less opportunities for conflict between software. I also use a 5DII and have found Live View cannot be used simultaneously with Capture One Pro. Again the issue appears to be that Capture One Pro must be the top screen. That's not really an issue as EOS Utility has Quick Preview and your images are going into whatever folder you've designated for later post-processing using Capture One Pro. 0
