Folder name as output location variable?

I've been looking for a way to achieve a pretty specific task in C1 v7. I work on plenty of shoots where we end up with a great many capture folders, with different talent names or product codes. When processing the files, I often create subfolders for TIFFs and JPEGs within the process recipes, but it would save a --HUGE-- amount of time if I could also have output folders created based on the name of the original folder.
So if I started with folders like this:
Capture / 01_Donald_Duck / [lots of files]
Capture / 02_Alexander_the_Great / [lots of files]
Capture / 03_Doctor_Who / [lots of files]
... I could process them such that the resulting folder structure would look like this:
Output / TIFF / 01_Donald_Duck / [lots of files]
Output / TIFF / 02_Alexander_the_Great / [lots of files]
Output / TIFF / 03_Doctor_Who / [lots of files]
Output / JPEG / 01_Donald_Duck / [lots of files]
Output / JPEG / 02_Alexander_the_Great / [lots of files]
Output / JPEG / 03_Doctor_Who / [lots of files]

I can obviously use the folder names as variables for file naming, but I can't figure out a way to do it with folders. With a few it's no big deal, but with dozens it's a huge time sink at the end of a shoot getting everything organised manually.
Is this a hidden function I haven't found yet, or is it possible to make a feature request?

Thank you kindly, but I'm not convinced it could work. I've written an Applescript that will create folders from a text or csv file, or from an existing structure. What I'm after is filing the photos correctly, in an environment where the file names might be prescribed as different enough from the folder names such you can't derive one from the other.
Unless your script takes into account the original location of the raw file? If so I'm interested.
Otherwise, any other ideas?0 -
That's exactly what it does. It mirrors the folder structure of the raw files for each of the process recipes as long as each recipe has a sub folder specified in its output options.
It's not as fast as native support their is a speed penality if processing lots of small files but it keeps you organized.
