Images supposedly in the catalog but not showing up

Hi everybody,

By chance, I noticed that some images are not showing in the catalog, but they are on the disk.

If I try to add them through the import dialog Capture One complains they are already part of the catalog.
If I sync the folder, nothing new shows up.

I have read other posts with similar issues, but I can't really find them now that I am looking for a solution.
I am really baffled about this, what am I a supposed to do now to add my images back?

  I have actually figured out how to fix the issue.
  If you have the same issue do the following:
  
  Make a new folder and move the images you need to add to the catalog in there.
  
  At that point, you can add the folder using the "ADD FOLDER" command and then sync it.
  
  That should work.

  But if you do that, will Capture One still keep track of any adjustments you have made to the images?

  I can't be sure right now, but I suppose it will since the database still thinks the files are there anyway.
  I guess adding the folder simply triggers an updated source path for the RAW file.
