Does anyone know how to use Capture One 4.82?
If anyone knows how to use this software, please let me know. Since they changed it, I can't figure out even the simple stuff. How do you adjust one, and apply the changes to all the others? I know it's not "Copy adjustments" than "Apply adjustments" because that doesn't work. That, plus a bunch of other questions.
Thanks,

Hey Jeff,
I can understand if your frustrated trying to get used to the new format but I'm sure a lot of people on the Forum will be happy to help you with that transition. If you still have questions you can create a support case and we can walk you through the newer version. Capture One 4/5 does have training videos online if you need them and the Manual can also help you get the ball rolling.
I removed your Phone Number from the Post just because I don't think that is the safest way to go about getting assistance. You're email is linked to your Forum Name so that should suffice.0 -

Jeff,
I just called you (before the number was removed) I think we got disconnected before we got too far. I hope I at least got you going since your tools were missing. If you have any more questions (im sure you will) just throw them up here and I'd be happy to help.
Yeah, I tried to call you back, but your number was blocked.
I adjust one image, how do I apply that to other images? Copy adjustment, and paste don't work.0 -

Jeff,
yea, sorry... work phone. I'd call back but im gonna call it a day. Make sure your "Edit Primary" button isn't on (looks like an Orange Block with a "1") in it.
Also, check these out http://www.phaseone.com/en/Software/Cap ... rials.aspx, #18 should help
I now figured out that the reason copy and paste adjustments didn't work, was because this version applies changes to both jpg and raw, which the previous version didn't do. I was appllying adjustments, and it make a bunch of them look terrible, so I now know why, and solved that problem.
How do I copy and paste adjustments of just one change? For example, I have all the images the way I want them, and now wanted to add some sharpening to all of them. But I can't do that. If I add sharpen to one, and try to apply it to all of them, it applies everything about that image to all of them. v3x didn't do that. I could change the images as I wanted, and apply that one change at a time, to whichever images, and whatever I wanted. Kelvin temp, apply to those I wanted to apply. Brighten, darken, apply to certain images. Sharpen, apply to all. Can't do that now. How can you sharpen all, without destroying previous changes?0 -
I have the RAW images set the way I want them. I hit process, and get jpgs that are way off from what I had.
I will say, that my Photoshop won't open, so I am viewing in the basic Microsoft image viewer; it's possible that's not showing them right.
Aside from that, what are the settings to use? I remember going through this in my previous Capture, setting output to either RGB or sRGB, etc. How should I set all that stuff?0 -
Well, although you do not specify how the jpegs are way off, when you use the MS Image Viewer, you best don't process to AdobeRGB but stick with sRGB.
That said, if you are really serious about looking at jpegs created with Capture One, wave goodbye to that MS viewer and look for a decent 3rd party viewer that handles ICC profiles properly.
Note: I assume you are on WinXP; more recent Windows viewers are already a great improvement.0 -
I downloaded photos into a new folder into my C drive under "My Pictures", but they're nowhere to be seen under the C drive uner "My Pictures" in capture. I see all my other stuff, but not this new one. I closed Capture down and
re-opened, surely they'd show there, but no luck. Nowhere to be found among my other folders.
So, I figue up. How/where do I find my pictures?0 -
Can you see the folder which contain your new image files (but the image don't show) or can't you find the folder in CO4?
Did you download the images with CO or another application? What kind of files are we talking?0 -
It seems that you have a case started and the issue has been resolved.
Let us know, through the case, if you need any further clarification.0 -
I don't see where Capture puts my completed images. All I see in the raw folder from where it got the images, are 2 folders now, one says Cache, and the other says Settings45. Neither of which has the processed jpgs.
I didn't even see any way to send the processed images to a folder. I go to process, and it just starts, with apparently a default, set to "Untitled Recipe". How can you set this to send them to a particular folder, and/or where can I find the images it's already processed?0
