How to downgrade back to 3.1, after 15 day trial with 3.6?

I tried 3.6 on a 15 day trial.... don't see any differences that matter to me and no money to pay more now, so I want to go back to 3.1...

But even though I have both a 3.1 and a 3.6 icon... sure enough there is only one phaseone.exe.

Now I don't recall any warning that if I tried 3.6 for 15 days it would overwrite my perfectly functional 3.1 set up, but even if I was warned...

How do I get back to 3.1?

  If you have installed ontop of previous version you need to uninstall (Add/remove programs) and install 3.1 from original installation file or CD.
  I hope you know that 3.6 is a free upgrade so if you have a product key for 3.1 you can go right a head and just activate 3.6

  No I didn't know that. I'm happy to use 3.6 for free....
  
  But how do I get my activation key?
  
  I had one when I installed 3.1, but I don't find the email in my mail archives.
  
  I don't have a CD... I downloaded 1.3.1.

  Activation key you should ignore how ever you should use your Product key. If you have lost this for one reason or another, then please log a support case on http://support.phaseone.com and will try to find it for you in our system
