I set it not to, but CO7 opens when card/cameraphone connect
I set and verify that the Open when camera/memory card connected is NOT selected, but Cap One 7 for mac starts up EVERY time I insert a memory card into a reader, and even when I connect my iphone to use iTunes.
Can someone at PO either tell me how to fix this, or tell me how to open a ticket to get it fixed? I've deleted all the preference files and it still does this.
I'd STILL also like to know when CO will let me choose to retain images on my in-camera memory cards as well as transfer to to the computer during tethered sessions. This is a dealbreaker of a bad design choice to prohibit use of my in-camera cards, and my relaying of this issue to other interested photographers cost you sales and triggered "Really? Are you kidding me? That is stupid" reactions from them.

It is not the C1 preferences that is causing C1 to launch when your card or iPhone is attached. With a card connected you need to go into your applications folder and launch Image Capture and click on the card under devices, at the bottom of that column you can change or turn off what is launched when a memory card, camera or phone is connected. 0 -

In the KB article, the first text and image are referencing OS X 10.5. The next image references 10.6, which does not refer to preferences. This part of the KB article is true for 10.7 and 10.8 as well.0 -
Hi Paul and Drew,
Yes, but there is no way without having a device connected to tell the software not to import. Also there is then no way to tell the software never to import, whatever the device. Am I correct, or do I miss something?

Yes, you have to have whatever devise you want to change connected to the computer to change what you want to open or not open. Once you have it changed it remains set to that until you decide to change it again. 0 -
That's what I thought. Thanks Steven.

Thanks, will give this a try.
What about the process to put in a ticket, and plans to allow the option of recording/retaining images on in-camera memory card(s) when using C1?0 -

The Nikon/Canon SDK does not gives us this option. Also, if the images had to be saved to the card first, and then read again to the computer, the tethering performance would be much slower.0
