EOS 40D Highlight Tone Priority
.
I tested the PhaseOne V 4.0.1 and have a problem regarding the highlight tone priority.
Comparing two similar pictures. One taken with highlight tone priority enabled the other without.
The preview in the browser section shows complete different brightness of the two pictures, also the histograms (about 0,75 exposure) .
But the viewer-window zoomed at 100% shows the same brightness.
Zoomed less than 50% the brightness of the one with hi tone prio switches to underexposed.
Does anyone have an explanation?

Hello,
We actually just solved a support case regarding this. What happens is that the first versi0n of Capture One 4.0 displayed HTP images underexposed. 4.0.1 corrects this, however what you are seeing are the previews that were incorrectly generated in 4.0.0. When you view at 67% and above the portion you are seeing is processed from the raw file, not the preview so you see the correct tone.
The fix for this is to delete the Cache folder associated with the HTP images. when you start CO 4.0.1 new, correct previews and thumbnails will be generated.0 -
Merci.
It works. 😊

So am i right in thinking that V4.01 supports HTP like DPP does?
If so that's a very nice feature to have. i thought it was only DPP that could do it.
